register for 2011
Grade 8 Entry Level Clinic: The
United States Soccer Federation Recreational Referee (Grade 8) Entry
Level Course is for new referees age 16 and over. We
recommend that people age 16 and older with no previous soccer
experience as a player, coach, team official, etc. begin as a
Recreational Referee (Grade 9). The authorized assignment level
for a Recreational Referee (Grade 9) is referee on recreational youth
games U-14 and younger only and Assistant Referee on any game U-14 or
below. If you are interested, please contact Ohannes. We need at least
10 people to conduct the clinic.

NOTE: If you are a grade 9
referee and want to upgrade to grade 8, you can attend the above clinic
and only pay $70 (includes USSF registration)
Recertification Clinic:
In order to be annually registered at their current grade
level, all Referees must: (a) Complete the required number of hours of
in-service training (5), take their respective current Referee Refresher
written examination; (b) Pass the physical fitness test and a
maintenance assessment (Referees Grade 8 & 9 excluded).

The minimum age to become a Grade 9 referee in Alabama is age
14 as of date of attending an initial entry clinic

Bridge Class – Grade 9 to Grade 8:
The United States Soccer Federation Referee Bridge Course
is for Recreational Referees (Grade 9) who wish to upgrade to Referee
(Grade 8) after competing at least one year in service. If you are a
grade 9 referee and wish to upgrade to grade 8 you need to attend this
clinic.

WSOA will be hosting the annual High School District
Clinic in Dothan.
Date: Saturday January 23, 2010

All referees are welcome to attend.
Notes: If you haven't done so, please send $40 to
Wade (his address can be found under Board) made out to WSOA so you can
be registered for the high school season. You can also bring your
checkbook and pay at the clinic
